    Board Member Spotlight

    Marla Sandoval, Board Member

Marla Sandoval (UT PanAm BBA, Texas Woman’s University MBA), has 16+ years of experience in healthcare, currently works at Valley Regional Medical Center, and began serving on our board just over one year ago in 2024.

Marla’s impact on Moody Clinic was felt prior to serving as Board Member, helping fund the ADA compliant kitchen learning lab. As part of Leadership Brownsville Class 39, her cohort raised $60,000 in five months (a community project record for the organization), with $33,511 destined for the Charles’ Legacy Scholarship and the rest going to the kitchen renovation and upgrade completion.

She finds inspiration in the positive impact Moody Clinic has on families, and dreams to see Moody Clinic expand to serve more families across the Rio Grande Valley.

Outside of work Marla enjoys reading, traveling, plus time with family and friends, including her dogs Maverick & Boston, who always keep life fun.
