How do I get referrals to Moody Clinic?
Contact your child’s primary care physician and request a referral. Your child’s physician can send in the referral or you can bring it to the clinic. Don’t hesitate to call Moody Clinic for information on obtaining a referral at (956) 542-8504.
What happens when I visit Moody Clinic for the first time?
After your pediatrician has made a referral to the Moody Clinic, your child will be scheduled for an initial evaluation. Following the evaluation, if your child would benefit from services, a tailored treatment plan will be created. Treatment plans are based on your child’s needs, determined by the licensed therapist and approved by the doctor.
How do I pay for my child’s care?
Moody Clinic accepts most forms of health insurance reimbursements including Medicaid, BCBS, Aetna, and United Health. Deductibles and co-pays may apply. Moody Clinic works with families that have financial difficulties and/or no health insurance. Families may qualify for a reduction in costs based on income and number of family members. Please make sure to inquire about our Financial Assistance programs.
What is my role in the therapy program?
You will be asked to commit to the therapy schedule. We encourage families to ask questions, observe therapy and incorporate demonstrated techniques and suggestions in the home environment. Moody Clinic professionals assist parents in learning to advocate for their child.
