Licensed therapists on staff provide speech/language, physical and occupational rehabilitative treatment to children ages birth to twenty one years old who have been diagnosed with a developmental delay, disability and/or acquired injury.
Speech/Language Therapy
Speech and language pathologists diagnose and evaluate speech problems that include fluency (stuttering), articulation, voice disorders, language problems such as aphasia and delayed language. Therapists also treat feeding and swallowing difficulties.
Physical Therapy
Physical therapists design individualized programs to develop and improve a child’s motion, strength, balance, mobility and movement skills. Treatment may include therapeutic exercises and activities, functional training, physical agents and/or assistive devices to maximize a child’s functional independence, decrease pain and prevent secondary impairments.
Occupational Therapy
Occupational therapists help children with various needs improve their cognitive, physical, sensory, and motor skills and enhance their self-esteem and sense of accomplishment. A child's main job is to play and learn, occupational therapists can evaluate kids' skills for playing, school performance, and daily activities and compare them with what is developmentally appropriate for that age group.
