You may feel overwhelmed or feel as though you are on your own. Some parents may not have family, friends, or a community that they can turn to. Our Family Support Group is a helpful way to share experiences and get tips from other parents who are going through similar things.
Parents of a child with special needs also need assistance in coping with their own feelings and frustrations. Connecting to others with similar experiences has been proven to help families, and as part of the Moody Clinic family we want to empower and support you.
Support groups are not intended to replace therapy, but to serve as a valuable addition. The sessions are free & exclusive for Moody Clinic parents, facilitated by professionals in a safe, confidential, and compassionate setting.
